On Thursday, August 4 at Norristown Area High School in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Governor Ed Rendell announced the 67 high schools that will be receiving Project 720 grants for the 2005-2006 school year.  Click on the link below to view the press release.

August 2 - Dual Enrollment Application and Grant released Print E-mail

 

RENDELL ADMINISTRATION LAUNCHES DUAL ENROLLMENT GRANT PROGRAM

On August 2, the dual enrollment grant and application guidelines were released.  The Dual Enrollment Grant Program has been allocated $5 million for 2005-2006 to be used to help high school students earn college credit.  Click on the link below to view the press release.

PROJECT 720 – NORRISTOWN AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT 2004-2005

The first 180 of 720 days for a Norristown Area High School freshman have nearly come to an end, and during that time the wheels of change at NAHS have been put in motion. The Norristown Area School District (NASD) is committed to working on reforming its secondary schools around the principles set forth in Project 720. If, as Mark Twain said, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started,” NAHS is on the road to reform while addressing the three central goals necessary to improving High Schools:

  1. Increase the rigor of educational programs.
  2. Enhance post-secondary access and credentialing for increasing numbers of students including dual enrollment.
  3. Produce active and productive citizens.
